"Righteousness goes before him and prepares the way for his steps" Psalm 85:13

Where do we turn for sure answers, for sound judgment, for answers to aid us and guide us through our many decisions? When our circumstances press against our hearts and touch us so deep in places no one could ever reach - or understand...where do we turn?

The LORD has taken me along my journey to places I would never have planned...but in each step along the way with Christ it is a privilege to follow Him and serve Him, for the purposes He intends....all for my Father's glory.

I am certain that He prepares and equips us for each step He asks us to take. He has asked me to go to places I never expected but each step of the way I have experienced His grace and mercy and loving presence as I know that in order for me to fully follow Him I need to continually turn my face to the LORD and allow Him to minister to my heart each day through the Word, prayer and His Spirit.

Along my journey with my Savior, one thing I have learned, my life is made up walking only 'one day at a time' and He promises to give us the strength we need in the day we are living. Each new day 'I get to' seek Him (an indescribable privilege we are given as His children!) as I know my Father is waiting so patiently to whisper of His love and goodness towards me, feeding me with His Word that sustains me and gives me Life and the direction I desperately need before I begin to allow my muddled thoughts to take possession of me and take me places that God never intended. I must pray, seek His Word and allow His Spirit to speak to my heart in the day He has given me. Each day will make up our week, our weeks will make up our month, our months will make up our year and our years will be the outcome of our life.....and our life is lived only 'one day at time'....according to His will, His way, by faith.

{The excerpt written below is by George Mueller. (September 27, 1805 – March 10, 1898) He was a Christian evangelist and the director of the Ashley Down Orphanage in England. He attributed that the success of his ministry was due to prayer and seeking God's will before all things. He cared for 10,024 orphans during his lifetime, and provided educational opportunities for the orphans as well as the Gospel} George Mullers Story - https://www.mullers.org/timeline

The Will of God :

How I ascertain the will of God: I seek at the beginning to get my heart into such a state that it has no will of its own in regard to a given matter.

Nine-tenths of the trouble with people is right here. Nine-tenths of the difficulties are overcome when our hearts are ready to do the Lord's will, whatever it may be. When one is truly in this state it is usually but a little way to the knowledge of what His will is.

I seek the will of the spirit of God through, or connection with, the Word of God.

The Spirit and the Word must be combined. If the Holy Ghost guides us at all, He will do it according to the scriptures, and never contrary to them.

Next I take into account providential circumstances. These often plainly indicate God's will in connection with His Word and Spirit.

I ask God in prayer to reveal His will to me aright.

Thus, through prayer to God, the study of His Word, and reflection, I come to a deliberate judgment, and if my mind is thus at peace, and continues so after two or three more petitions, I proceed accordingly. In trivial matters, and in transactions involving most important issues, I have found this method always effective. (GEORGE MUELLER)

Turn your heart to the LORD through prayer and the reading of His Word...let Him hear your voice....and be confident that you will hear His.

Thank you Jesus for going before us and for preparing our way.
